How to use
We have created a deodorant bar that you can melt down & refill your old deodorant container to save it from the landfill, or use as is. To melt, place the ingredients in a heat-safe jar and melt in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals until liquid. Pour into your prepared deodorant container and let it harden before use. (If you are uncertain about how to do this, there are videos on YouTube that explain how to prepare it.)

Ingredient Benefits
-Magnesium hydroxide is a mineral that helps neutralize odor by raising skin pH, which creates an unfriendly environment for odor-causing bacteria. Unlike baking soda, it typically does not irritate sensitive skin and does not absorb into the skin.
-Zinc oxide is commonly used for its antibacterial and skin-protective properties. While primarily known as a sunscreen ingredient, it also helps soothe and protect the skin in deodorant, especially if the skin is prone to irritation or damage from other products.
-Zinc ricinoleate, a castor oil derivative, traps and absorbs odor molecules at the source, preventing their release into the air. It selectively targets odor-causing bacteria, does not disrupt the skin microbiome, and is very mild and biodegradable—making it ideal for sensitive or allergy-prone skin.
